Balmorhea State Park, Texas
Here are the pictures from our camping trip. Balmorhea has a natural spring that pumps out 1 million gallos of water per hour! The pool was 25 feet deep and had moss, fish, turtles, and crawdads. And, the Cienega (swamp in Spanish) had lots of snakes, along with turtles and fish. The first image can be enlarged by clicking if you are interested. http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/park/balmorhe/
Here is Brian feeding the swarms of catfish!
See how cheap it is to travel?!? We will do this more often!
And, just when we thought gas couldn’t get any cheaper!!

I hadn’t seen these before! Looks nice… wish I had high-speed so it didn’t take so long to download………. can you fish there?
[ No, no fishing allowed, although, I bet those catfish are tasty! — Brian ]
That part of texas has beautiful sunsets. I stopped by Balmorhea on my way out to Phoenix. Met Wade Horn and his dog Julius. Wish I could post the picture. I guess you could see it on my facebook site or I’ll post a blog about it soon and let you guys know. Looks like you guys know what matters in life. Matt Bean, Wilder, KY.
