The pictures below are of a forest fire that occurred near Los Alamos in the Summer of 2002. The actual fire was on the other side of the Rio Grande valley, but produced a huge smoke plume. When I went to work in the morning, there was no fire. By lunch time there was a fair amount of smoke and by the time I got off, this is what I saw.
